In the rainy third round of the Drift Masters in Finland, 2023 champion Conor Shanahan returned to winning ways in his Samsonas-equipped Toyota GT86. He even had to contend with his brother Jack on his way to victory. Half of the Top 32 was packed with the Samsonas-equipped cars battling for victory. Series favorite James Deane, with his impressive Ford Mustang RTR equipped with the Samsonas RS90 sequential, finished his race in the top8 after OMT run, same as did Finland’s Mika Keski-Korpi.
In the Top16, there was two Samsonas-equipped cars duel in which James Deane won against Juha Rintanen and round winner Conor Shanahan won against his brother Jack. The race also ended in the top 16 for Orlan Nilsen and Jarko Jylha. Multiple Finnish rally champion Teemu Asunmaa entered this Drift Master round as a wildcard, qualified for the top 32 but was eliminated in the battle for the top 16 after he spun. A strong run was shown by Benediktas Čirba, but second-placed Norwegian Tor Arne Kvia showed a perfect lead run and finished the Lithuanian weekend.
After the two rounds, Conor Shanahan leads the Drift Masters, while James Deane is in third place.
