This weekend marks a very important point in the history of Samsonas Motorsport, as the 2025 Nascar Euro Series season will begin in Valencia, Spain. The entire 20+ car grid is equipped with Samsonas Motorsport RS90 5-speed sequential gearbox, which will improve both the performance and durability of the cars by making the racing even tighter while keeping the cost of racing low.

Prior to this year’s agreement, Samsonas Motorsport and Team FJ worked extensively to develop and test the new gearbox with Team FJ’s NASCAR Euro Series Ford Mustang chassis. The final test took place at the Zolder race track in Belgium. After successful test drives and positive feedback from the drivers, the contract was signed and delivery of the gearboxes began soon.

The NASCAR Euro Series cars have only a limited aero package and the drivers have to rely mainly on mechanical grip and adjustable suspension. The car is powered by an old-school 5.7-liter V8 engine that produces 400 horsepower transmitted to the rear wheels via a Samsonas Motorsport RS90 5-speed sequential gearbox. These cars reach a top speed of 245 km/h. These cars have a data logging system to help the engineers. The connection to the race track is provided by Hoosier 330/700 R15 tires mounted on 10.5 x 15” rims. A 330 mm ventilated brake disk provides the braking effect.

Circuit Ricardo Tormo is a popular MotoGP track located near the beautiful Spanish city of Valencia. The longest straight on the calendar, at almost 900 metres, creates high speeds close to the 245 km/h top speed reached by the V8 EuroNASCAR cars. The arena-like layout gives fans the opportunity to see all the action and all the corners, despite being four kilometres long. Valencia is simply amazing and the perfect host for the EuroNASCAR season opener.
