Samsonas Motorsport is new NASCAR Euro Series technical partner


We are pleased to announce that Samonas Motorsport is the new technical partner of the NASCAR Euro Series, supplying Samsonas Motorsport RS90 sequential gearboxes for the series. The Lithuanian manufacturer and French Team FJ met at the Profesional MotorSport World EXPO in Cologne, Germany, and shook hands near the NASCAR Euro Series test car to announce this deal for the racing community.

Prior to the agreement, both teams worked extensively to develop and test the new transmission with Team FJ’s Ford Mustang chassis NASCAR Euro Series car. The final test took place at the Zolder circuit in Belgium. The contract was signed after successful test drives and positive feedback from drivers.

Samsonas Motorsport RS90 5-speed sequential gearboxes will be fitted to the 3rd generation of NASCAR Euro Series cars, which are equipped with an old-school 5.7l V8 400hp engine. All cars are identical to the three familiar chassis – Ford Mustang, Chevrolet Camaro and Toyota Camry. The RS90 sequential gearbox will improve both the performance and durability of the cars by making the racing even tighter while keeping the cost of racing low.

The NASCAR Euro Series was founded in 2008 by Team FJ and established the NASCAR official European Series thanks to a long-term partnership signed with NASCAR (National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing), Team FJ, and Whelen Engineering. The season is made up of 7 rounds on the best European tracks – 28 races, equally split among PRO and OPEN (AM) championships.

With four races in two days, these over 400 HP V8 monsters provide pure racing action and thrilling bumper-to-bumper battles as well as a lot of family fun around the track! In the pure NASCAR tradition, race fans can get closer to the action than ever and feel the unique in Europe paddock atmosphere thanks to drivers, teams and cars always available for the spectators. The series attracts drivers from all over the world, all willing to fight on track for the win and take the first step towards becoming a NASCAR star in the U.S.
