Samsonas Motorsport has a long history with MVsport as two friends and owners – Martynas Samsonas and Mindaugas Varža (MV Sport) – even spent a lot of time together in one car on the special stages. With more than 20 years of racing experience, MV Sport is now working with the idea of a unique double wishbone rally suspension with long travel, that can fit on any chassis with the original mounting points and OEM parts. This solution with the Mitsubishi 2.0 or PSA 1.6 engine, Subaru transmission, Samsonas sequential gearbox and dampers gives the R5/Rally2 “feel” and comfort with reasonable running costs that can be three times lower than the R5/Rally2. This is perfect for national championships and drivers who want maximum performance and driving enjoyment while keeping it affordable at national level. After several years of world-class engineering, MV Sport is starting to show this potential with two Lithuanian-built Hyundai i20s, both equipped with Samsonas Motorsport parts but different 2.0l and 1.6l engines.
